Web3 Marketing Q&A w/ Eric Forst, Asaf Nadler, & Lou Kerner

Is the Crypto Wallet the New CRM?

This webinar features Eric Forst with Blocksee and Asaf Nadler with Addressable, discussing how they're leveraging wallets to gather data and help projects better connect with their audiences.

The world of marketing has been transformed by the digital age, with customer relationship management (CRM) software becoming a cornerstone of many businesses. However, with the rise of blockchain and Web3, some are exploring the way that wallet addresses on public ledgers provide a new source of data for marketers. In a recent webinar titled "Is the Wallet the New CRM?" hosted by the CryptoOracle Collective, Web3 CRM startups Blocksee and Addressable explored the intersection of blockchain and marketing and the new opportunities it presents.

Lou Kerner, founder of the CryptoOracle Collective, kicked off the webinar by asking each panelist to introduce themself and the problems they are working on at their startups.

Asaf Nadler, the CSO of Addressable began the discussion by highlighting how marketers are trying to understand from the data what's going on in the market. Nadler said they want to know, “what people are buying where are the trends what can we understand about it and and mostly how can we do it when we don't know anything about the audience.”

Nadler noted that Addressable enables marketers to log into their web application and tap into other audiences, “It can be anyone who bought from you in the recent period or anyone who did some activity on chain and be able to analyze them in a much better way than you would be able to with with other tools.” He said that their clients want to understand the trends and messages that resonate best with their audiences.

Eric Forst, the CEO of Blocksee, agreed that blockchain and smart contracts provide valuable data for marketers. Forst explained how there's more of a need for data to help marketers show results, “they need to show KPIs and metrics for everything that they do.” Forst continued, “the ability to put up a community and and sell through influence, through the development of a community and Discord was the way a lot of marketing was done last year during the hype cycle.”  He said that now, in a bear market, marketers have to get back to fundamentals.

Forst expanded on the idea of personalized marketing in Web3, noting that crypto wallets provide a unique opportunity for marketers to connect with consumers. He argued that, unlike traditional CRMs, which often rely on email and other forms of communication, wallets provide a direct and immediate way to interact with consumers. By creating targeted offers and experiences within the wallet, marketers can build trust and loyalty with consumers while also gathering valuable data to create engaging and relevant experiences.

Overall, the webinar highlighted the potential for blockchain and Web3 to transform the marketing industry, providing greater transparency, trust, and data for marketers. By embracing this technology, businesses can create more targeted and personalized marketing campaigns that build trust and loyalty with consumers while also driving growth and efficiency. As we continue to explore the intersection of blockchain and marketing, it will be exciting to see the new opportunities and innovations that emerge in Web3.

How will CRM change in Web3?

The concept of the crypto wallet as the new CRM (customer relationship management) is based on the idea that blockchain technology and decentralized systems can provide a more transparent and secure way to manage consumer data and interactions.

Traditionally, businesses have used centralized CRM systems to manage customer relationships and interactions. These systems typically store customer data on centralized servers, which can be vulnerable to hacks and data breaches. Additionally, customers may not have full control over their data or interactions with the business.

With the rise of blockchain technology and decentralized systems, businesses can potentially create a more secure and transparent system for managing customer relationships. By using crypto wallets to store customer data and interactions on a decentralized blockchain network, businesses can potentially provide customers with more control over their data and interactions, as well as increase transparency and security.

For example, instead of relying on traditional loyalty programs that use points or rewards stored on a centralized server, businesses could use a blockchain-based loyalty program that rewards customers with cryptocurrency directly in their crypto wallets. This would provide customers with more control over their rewards and potentially attract younger customers who are more familiar with cryptocurrencies.

Similarly, by using a decentralized blockchain network to manage customer data, businesses can potentially create a more secure and transparent system for managing customer interactions. For example, a business could use a blockchain-based system to verify the authenticity of customer reviews and feedback, or to track the origin and ownership of products.

Overall, the idea of the crypto wallet as the new CRM is based on the potential for blockchain technology and decentralized systems to provide a more secure and transparent system for managing customer relationships and interactions.
